Q. I've registered, what do I do next?
A. Once you've completed the registration screen you will be 'logged in'. Whilst logged in you will see some extra options available to you. Click on Add classes/availability to add in details about what classes you can teach and when you are available to teach them. Whilst logged in you can also update your contact details by clicking on edit your account.
 
Q. How do I fill in my diary of availability?
A. Click 'Edit' next to a date or day to fill in your availability. You are able to put in multiple time slots e.g. you can show that you are able teach from 07.00 - 08.30 am and then 12.00 til 1.00 and then also from 5.30 pm until 8pm.

To save time you can use the copy function. If you click in the round button next to the day you want to copy from and then put a tick next to all the days you want to copy to then click 'copy' those details will be copied. You can copy from the Long Term Diary into the Short Term Diary and vice versa.
 
Q. How often can I update my availability?
A. As often as you want to. It is very important for the people searching that the information is up to date. It will mean that you won’t get phone calls when you don’t want them and the Health & Fitness Clubs won’t waste their time calling people who can’t help.

However, you may not want to update your Short Term Diary daily in which case the system will use the data in your Long Term Diary but you need to put some data into the short term diary to start off with.
 
Q. How come this service is free?
A. It is likely that, in the future, there will be a small fee to pay to have your details on Leisure Locate. However, it is still in it’s developmental stage and it is more important to make it work properly for everyone involved before thinking about charging for it. Should it become a chargeable service then you will be notified and given a choice whether you want to continue or not.
 
Q. Why are there 2 options for a postcode for my location?
A. If you don’t have another job and/or it’s near to where you live then this feature isn’t necessary for you. However, we think this is useful because it means that if you do work and it’s a long way from home you can load up a separate availability sheet that relates to periods of the week when you are at or near work. The point of this information is that the Health & Fitness Clubs can search by your location to try and find instructors that are close to where they are.
 
Q. How do I get to the top of the search results list?
A. The results are first sorted to reflect the criteria specified by the person searching. After that the instructors are listed by the number of club coverlists that an instructor appears on i.e. the instructors who are on the most club coverlists will get listed higher up the list - the idea being that the best instructors will be more likely to be on more club coverlists. This ranking may change in the future and be based on feedback rankings from the fitness clubs (a bit like ebay).
